One detail surprises many owners: the oil and filter interval doesn't change between tracks. The QX65, QX60 and QX80 each list the same oil interval for standard and severe driving. What the severe track changes is everything around the oil change. Tire rotations and brake inspections come twice as often, brake fluid is replaced sooner, and the all-wheel-drive fluids move from routine inspection to scheduled replacement.

Here's how the core intervals compare across INFINITI's three SUVs. The QX65 and QX60 share an engine, a 9-speed automatic transmission and nearly identical service needs, so the QX65 maintenance schedule lines up with the QX60's almost item for item. The QX80 is the outlier, with longer routine intervals but a much earlier spark plug change.

What Is the INFINITI QX65 Maintenance Schedule?

The all-new 2027 QX65 follows a 7,500-mile rhythm. Every 7,500 miles or 12 months, it gets an oil and filter change, a tire rotation, a new in-cabin microfilter and inspections of the brakes, drive shaft boots and all-wheel-drive fluids. Brake fluid is replaced every 15,000 miles or 24 months, the engine air filter every 30,000 miles, the automatic transmission fluid at 90,000 miles and the spark plugs at 105,000 miles. Because AWD is standard, every QX65 also has coupling, differential and transfer case oil to track: inspected each visit on the standard schedule and replaced every 15,000 miles on the severe one. What Is the INFINITI QX80 Maintenance Schedule?

The 2027 QX80 runs on a 10,000-mile rhythm. Every 10,000 miles or 12 months, it needs an oil and filter change, a tire rotation, a new in-cabin microfilter, a propeller shaft lubrication and a set of inspections covering the brakes, automatic transmission fluid, differential oil and drive shaft boots. Brake fluid is replaced every 20,000 miles or 24 months, the engine air filter every 30,000 miles or 36 months, and the spark plugs every 60,000 miles or 72 months. What Sets the INFINITI QX80 Maintenance Schedule Apart

The QX80's 3.5L twin-turbo V6 replaced the previous 5.6L V8 starting with the 2025 model year, and the maintenance plan changed with it. Routine visits come less often than on the QX65, but a few big-ticket items arrive earlier, so QX80 owners benefit from planning a year or two ahead.

The engine air filter is a good example. It's due every 30,000 miles on every INFINITI SUV, but the QX80's time limit is 36 months instead of 48, so a lightly driven QX80 may need a new filter before it reaches the mileage. The QX80's severe schedule also calls for replacing the automatic transmission fluid, differential oil and AWD transfer case oil every 20,000 miles or 24 months, while the standard schedule only inspects them.

When Does the QX80 Need Spark Plugs and Belt Service?

Plan on new spark plugs every 60,000 miles or 72 months, which is 45,000 miles sooner than the QX65 or QX60. The engine drive belts get their first inspection at 60,000 miles or 72 months, followed by a check every 10,000 miles or 12 months. For an owner driving about 12,000 miles a year, both items land around the five-year mark, which makes that visit a natural time to review tires and brakes as well.

Does a Rear-Wheel-Drive QX80 Need Transfer Case Service?

No. INFINITI lists transfer case oil as "maintenance not required" on rear-wheel-drive QX80 Pure and Luxe models. On AWD versions, the transfer case oil is inspected every 10,000 miles or 12 months and replaced every 20,000 miles or 24 months under severe use. If you tow a boat to Saguaro Lake or pull a trailer up the Beeline Highway to Payson, keep that severe-use replacement on your calendar.

INFINITI Service Intervals by Mileage Milestone

Mileage milestones make the schedule easier to plan and budget for. Each milestone below builds on the routine oil, filter, rotation and cabin filter service, and every item also carries a time limit, so a low-mileage SUV may reach some services by age before it reaches the odometer reading.

Early Visits: The First 30,000 Miles

For the QX65 and QX60, the first 30,000 miles bring four routine visits at 7,500, 15,000, 22,500 and 30,000 miles, with brake fluid replaced at 15,000 and again at 30,000. The 30,000-mile visit also adds a new engine air filter and the first drive belt inspection. The QX80 reaches 30,000 miles in three routine visits, with brake fluid replaced at 20,000 miles and a new engine air filter at 30,000.

Major Milestones: 60,000 to 105,000 Miles

The 60,000-mile visit is the big one for QX80 owners, because spark plugs, brake fluid, an engine air filter and the first drive belt inspection all come due together. QX65 and QX60 owners see their largest visits later. The automatic transmission fluid is replaced at 90,000 miles, and new spark plugs arrive at 105,000 miles alongside the first coolant replacement. Standard or Severe? Choosing the Right INFINITI Schedule in the East Valley

The schedule you follow depends on how you drive, and Arizona conditions push many owners toward the severe track for at least part of the year. Because the severe schedule leaves the oil interval alone, switching mostly means more frequent tire rotations and inspections, plus earlier brake fluid and driveline fluid changes. For drivers who tow, idle in traffic on the US-60 and Loop 202, or park outdoors through a Mesa summer, that extra attention costs little compared with the repairs it helps prevent.

Does INFINITI Premium Care Cover Scheduled Maintenance?

Partly. Every new 2026 and 2027 INFINITI includes Premium Care, which covers up to three oil changes and three tire rotations within three years or the model's designated mileage period, whichever comes first. Model years 2025 and earlier carried a broader list that also included inspections, brake fluid changes and cabin air filter replacements.
