Our Favorite Things About the 2022 INFINITI QX80
INFINITI calls their new 2022 QX80 “a design and engineering masterpiece.” The new QX80 exudes luxury from inside and out. Generously equipped with thoughtful touches, the QX80 offers plenty of room to grow in. It’s designed to handle all of life’s roads and make memories with style and grace. But, what do we really love about the new INFINITI QX80? Here are just a few of the many features that make the QX80 stand out as our favorite vehicle of all time.
It’s Bold, Sporty, and Athletic
The new 2022 QX80 boasts a commanding presence and turns heads wherever we travel. Its bold, angular exterior offers the rare combination of athletic and powerful styling. Body-color running boards with integrated splash guards, along with LED turn signals, and integrated LED front fog lights add sporty to the mix. We also love the QX80’s power-sliding tinted glass moonroof that opens and closes with one touch. It also has a tilt setting and a sliding sunshade. The power tailgate helps so much with loading and unloading groceries, our golf clubs, and pretty much anything else that fits in the back of our QX80.
We Love the Luxury
The new INFINITI QX80’s hand-crafted interior combines intuitive controls, quality materials, and rich textures for a driving experience as engaging as it is luxurious. With features like remote tip-up second-row seats, climate-controlled, leather-appointed seats, and charcoal, burl trim, the QX80 stands out among all other luxury SUVs. Noise-insulating glass adds to the QX80’s sublime ride quality. The front dual-opening center console has an adjustable armrest. Its storage compartment has space for just about everything we need, and a 12-volt power outlet, as well. The driver’s seat entry and exit assist feature makes getting in and out of the QX80 easy. We never have trouble getting comfortable behind the wheel thanks to a 10-way power driver’s seat that has a two-way power lumbar support.
The QX80 Has an Amazing Sound System
Our QX80 has an amazing Bose 13-speaker Premium Sound System. The INFINITI InTouch system features factory-installed SiriusXM Radio, Bluetooth connectivity for hands-free calling and music streaming, and USB connection ports compatible with iPod and Android devices. Its Wi-Fi Hotspot makes it easy to keep everyone connected and entertained. The built-in Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility mean no messy wires running all through the cabin.
Fun to Drive
The new 2022 INFINITI QX80 comes loaded with lots of advanced (and fun) technologies. Dual, headrest-mounted, 8” screens keep the rear passengers busy with their favorite content and games – nobody has asked “how much longer” since we purchased the 2022 QX80. There are also several customized sorting spaces for the available wireless headphones and remote. An Enhanced Intelligent-Key memory stores our individual seat position, audio, and climate-control settings. We never get lost anymore thanks to the factory-installed navigation system that provides real-time traffic information, 3D building graphics, and gives seamless turn-by-turn directions. The system also comes with a 5-year complimentary subscription to TomTom Weather.
We Feel Incredibly Safe No Matter What the Weather or Road Conditions
The QX80 comes with all of the latest safety technologies built-in. The standard smart rearview mirror makes it easy to see around cargo or passengers that block the rear window. Distance Control Assist combined with Intelligent Cruise Control helps us keep the perfect distance on long road trips. The INFINITI LATCH System (Lower Anchors and Tethers for Children) makes installing a child seat a snap. Blind Spot Intervention, Predictive Forward Collision Warning, Backup Collision Intervention, Forward Emergency Braking with pedestrian detection, and Lane Departure Prevention add even more peace of mind.
Our QX80 Goes Everywhere and Does Everything
Our new QX80 goes everywhere and handles everything that we throw at it thanks to a 400-HP, 5.6-liter, 32-valve V8 engine, and a 7-speed automatic transmission. With the Drive Mode Select feature set to “Tow” mode, we can haul a whopping 8-500-pounds, even with a full truckload of passengers. Speed-sensitive power steering and independent, double-wishbone suspension make handling surprisingly smooth. The QX80 also has a “Snow” mode setting that helps handle our area’s treacherous winter roads.
